I wish there was a way to delete the widgets that you put in there.   I would hate to install one and want to remove it later..  (Would kinda bother me)

Well the shortcut widgets are only about 5K. you could put 100 on your phone and it would only be the size of 1 game. Just hide them in the widget menu. I am sure there will be a way soon.

What happens if you install a widget and then reinstall it again? Does it replace it or does it install it a second time?

If its exactly the same it won't let the widget install. If the version # is changed it will replace the previous widget.

Yes that is better. The other one was made from an icon. Do you have anymore. Looking for facebook, facebook mobile, myspace, twitter, craigslist, and anything else people can come up with. I want one for Imserba and rumkin too. Im not very good with picture editing software. I do my best.

Here are some more.

Dang you. I was messing with Paint Shop for hours making these last night.  Grin I like some of yours but I am keeping some of mine. Going to add some more widgets very shortly after I make a few changes. Thanks sickwitit.

And I know what you mean about that widget site from before. Without the correct phone all we can do is look.

I have now included my own browser shortcut widgets. Thanks to Bantam for the coding help and sickwitit for some of the graphics.

Pac 1 includes: Craigslist, Flickr mobile, Facebook Mobile, Facebook, Twitter Mobile, Moodio.fm, ORB, Imserba jumpcode downloader, MySpace Mobile, Youtube Mobile, My Ebay, and Rumkin jumpcode downloader.

They can be found at the bottom of the first post. Just download the pac and install the widgets you want.

If any more are desired please let me know.

you edit the widget in the shortcut.js in the js folder. You also have to change name and ID if you are making a different one. If updating you have to change version number. Also icon.png will have to be 42x42, if not changes need to be made for it.

If there is something you want then just ask. Easy for me to do.

Be careful what you do. One wrong move in the widget file and you have a brick.

I always thought Widgets were shortcuts to the apps.

Widgets can be shortcuts to the internet, they can be an app, or a shortcut to an app. At this point no one knows the info to link a widget with an installed app. Samsung is keeping this a secret. We know it can be done because of Navigator on our phone. But we can't look at that widget to see how its done.  So for now browser shortcuts is all I'm capable of doing.

On the eternity forum they are using html and javascript to make a skin on their main screen. They are still developing it.  It is ran by running a html file stored in the mystuff browser which will put a window on the phone with what appears to be widgets or shortcut icons. Basically the same thing a widget is but ran with medianet.

If you took a widget and extracted the contents with winrar, you could run the html file in it with your computer's browser. They are taking a few widget type codes and putting them together to change the appearance of the main screen.
