Here is another widget that I just made it is like the CNN and the ESPN. Except the idle screen RSS feed is for the samsung impression forum ....

So now when your on the go you can keep up with your favorite  samsung forums
at a glance.

Hope you enjoy it.

I tried this out last night, it downloaded onto my phone and nothing.  It was not even on my phone.  I will try again tonight when i get off work.  The only thing I think may have happened is halfway through downloading to my phone, I closed the innovator site on my laptop by accident and then went back to it- But the Pin Number was up the entire time....

That should not have made a difference. When you get home redownload it from the forum. Last night I was modifying that post because I miss spelled something and  I wonder if you may have downloaded it at the same time.

I am completely lost on how to get widgets onto my phone.  I have read the post 3 times and still don't understand.  I don't know how to create a widget.  I just want to download one.

Don't be discouraged.  I had to read it several times over and make a few PM contacts as well!!  This is how I finally did it:

1. I downloaded every widget (including the pin widget) to my laptop that I was interested in.  I created an "Impression" folder in my documents that has everything impression in it and created another folder within it called "widgets".

2. I went to the samsung innovator website on my laptop and registered.  This was the most confusing part as it asked a bunch of questions that I did not fit into.  I just hit "other" for most of them, except I made sure I put a check mark by "widgets".

3. I got an email to confirm my registration and clicked on it to complete the process.  Using my laptop I then went back to the innovator site and went to the widget test site.

4. I clicked "register" and browsed to the "widget" folder I previously created.  I clicked on the Pin Widget to upload it to the innovator site.  They ask you to name it and put a description in it.  I just named it the same as the file name and the description I used was "download widgets onto phone"

5. After all this, I clicked on the "save" icon at the bottom.  It then showed an icon of the widget I just uploaded.  To the right of this are two button, one of which says "pin" I believe(it is the top button of the two).  Click on this one.  It will open a new pop-up that displays a pin number.

Now I used my phone for the rest of the download.

6. Using Media Net, I went to the pin widget address that Goat provided in the first post.  I was then able to enter the pin that the Innovator site previously gave me.  It downloaded the widget onto my phone.

7. Now that I had this installed, I went back to the innovator website on my laptop and upload all the widgets I wanted (it limited me to 10 at a time).  Doing one at a time I got the pin number, opened the pin widget on my phone and entered it, clicking "input".  It opened a website on my phone where I clicked "download".  That was it. I went back and did this for each widget I wanted. I made sure to delete from the innovator website every widget I already downloaded.

It is a step by step process that once you do it, it makes sense and is pretty easy.  If you have questions, or if I left anything out- feel free to contact me.

As for creating a widget, I am lost on that one!!  (Still trying to figure out what a "png" is...)

I would LOVE to learn how to make a widget... programming is not my forte!

And one more I was going to Mod the accuweather widget because I did not like that you could only get it to update 3 times a day but someone in one of the forums beat me to it. So this one you choose between none, hourly, every two hours or three times a day. Under update it says hourly not define but just click on it and make your choice of setting. It is a newer version so it will update your current version if you have the first installed

Downloaded this last night.  Just wanted to let you know it does not update hourly or every two hours.  It automatically switches the settings to 3x daily.  Bummer.

I want to thank Agoattamer for all his work. And e.cadro, thanks for the updated AccuWeather widget. Hourly updates are much better than hitting refresh all the time.

well, I can get you the links, but gotta work on the png thingy.  Guessing it is done in some sort of photoshop program... this may take a while...

Here's 3 icons to choose from. There all pretty much the same; one with a black border, one with white, and one with no border. If anyone ever needs help with graphics, let me know....... I'll be glad to help if I can.

re: accuweather widget not setting hourly.
I test every widget that I post on my own phone before posting and have had the accuweather widget on my phone for over a week and it always updates hourly as I have set for. Are sure the black dot is marked next to your choice? If it still is not working let me know because you can't download the same widget twice to your phone. I would have to post another one for you with a different version number so it would update your current one.

tejas I could use your help with a couple of images. Can you remove the ESPN Logo From These Images and the sports words on the other. I need a blank template of them.

e.cadro, I attempted to download the rss feed widget a second time tonight.  Although there is no widget in my widget bar from my first attempt to install it, I got a message that the version already exists on my phone.  Can you make a new version and I will try again?  Thanks.
