I am completely lost on how to get widgets onto my phone. I have read the post 3 times and still don't understand. I don't know how to create a widget. I just want to download one.
Don't be discouraged. I had to read it several times over and make a few PM contacts as well!! This is how I finally did it:
1. I downloaded every widget (including the pin widget) to my laptop that I was interested in. I created an "Impression" folder in my documents that has everything impression in it and created another folder within it called "widgets".
2. I went to the samsung innovator website on my laptop and registered. This was the most confusing part as it asked a bunch of questions that I did not fit into. I just hit "other" for most of them, except I made sure I put a check mark by "widgets".
3. I got an email to confirm my registration and clicked on it to complete the process. Using my laptop I then went back to the innovator site and went to the widget test site.
4. I clicked "register" and browsed to the "widget" folder I previously created. I clicked on the Pin Widget to upload it to the innovator site. They ask you to name it and put a description in it. I just named it the same as the file name and the description I used was "download widgets onto phone"
5. After all this, I clicked on the "save" icon at the bottom. It then showed an icon of the widget I just uploaded. To the right of this are two button, one of which says "pin" I believe(it is the top button of the two). Click on this one. It will open a new pop-up that displays a pin number.
Now I used my phone for the rest of the download.
6. Using Media Net, I went to the pin widget address that Goat provided in the first post. I was then able to enter the pin that the Innovator site previously gave me. It downloaded the widget onto my phone.
7. Now that I had this installed, I went back to the innovator website on my laptop and upload all the widgets I wanted (it limited me to 10 at a time). Doing one at a time I got the pin number, opened the pin widget on my phone and entered it, clicking "input". It opened a website on my phone where I clicked "download". That was it. I went back and did this for each widget I wanted. I made sure to delete from the innovator website every widget I already downloaded.
It is a step by step process that once you do it, it makes sense and is pretty easy. If you have questions, or if I left anything out- feel free to contact me.
As for creating a widget, I am lost on that one!! (Still trying to figure out what a "png" is...)
