Call volume and mp3 volume use different settings. You could most likely up the call volume for bluetooth the same way I did this for receiver and speaker.  But mp3 volume will have to be handled another way. There is another sticky for volume.

Ok I like literally registered today so that i could kinda look around and see what this site is about.... I absolutely love it! haha i have already used this forum to increase my speaker, earpiece, and bluetooth volume. worked perfectly. i was a little hesitant to try it at first cause i already bricked an ipod touch by messing with it and i didnt want to do it to my phone whenever i just paid 250 dollars on it (i have a go phone plan so i had to pay full price for it) but i got the guts to and now i am enjoying it greatly.... Agoattamer, you are awesome! i look forward to doing more to this amazing phone.

Did you turn it up to loud? This mod doesn't affect the ringtone. Is your volume turned up?

When I enter the number and hit call, the phone tells me incorrect data, then goes back to the home screen.  What gives?

Are you entering the number correctly with the *# also?

Help! I tried to increase the speaker, receiver, MP3, and bluetooth audio. Now, it sounds fine through my headset, fine in the ear piece, and fine with an MP3 through the speaker - but if I direct a call through the speaker it's loud and distorted.  It freakin' whistles at me! I tried setting the speaker volume back down to 0 from 4 but it's still not working!

EDIT: Okay, I had to turn the one for Speaker all the way down to 0 in order for it to stop messing up. And I had to reboot a few times before it seemed to take effect.

Hi, new to the forum.

One day I lowered my volume with a side button to mute a phone for the meeting. Brought everything back to high OK according to the sliding indicator. However, my RECIEVER call volume decreased dramatically, to a whisper. Speaker phone volume remained intact.

I used your very helpful instructions from this thread and from the "Complete Volume Increase Procedure" to check my settings: they were original.

I have successfully increased the reciever call volume to a manageable (yet very distorted) level only after jacking up cod_rx codec gain up to 12dB from 0dB default!!

This is not normal!! Are my speakers physically gone, or is there another setting to look at?  and what could be a possible reason for such behavior?

thank you in advance. respectfully. Igor

Hello welcome to the forum. To increase the receiver sound for calls you need to do so while on a call use the volume increase when on the call. I would also suggest you return your phone to its original settings before hand or you may bust your receiver. 12db is way to high.

Thank for suggestion but it is first thing I did, of course. Restoring to original setting brings volume to a whisper, so I can only hear when turning on a speakerphone.

Sorry for the confusion but you said

That led me to believe that you used the volume control while the phone was in standby and I was telling you that there is a difference between using the volume control while in standby and using the volume control once you have made a call and connected. When connected and use the volume control it says hearing volume. Sorry that I did not understand what you stated you did.
