Just go to your network profiles on your phone.   Menu/settings/connectivity/network profiles and select create and then save. No need to fill in any info. It should have created a connection 1 profile.

Then go to your games and apps menu and select more then connection. Click on Blueftp and select the connection 1 network profile. Now it couldnt connect to the internet if it wanted too.

I know its simple, but I recommend you make a new thread for the How to section on that question.

I don't have a data plan, so I just set the Default to Connection 1, and now they're all Connection 1!  Fantastic!  I'm loving this phone more and more, everyday.

Just found out that you can copy more than one file at a time all that you have to do is select all and copy or cut and then paste where you are suppose to paste and it makes it a lot faster than doing it one at a time

jcoc611 found a free file explorer that works for this tutorial. It is not as user friendly. But its free and not a cracked trial. I still recommend the version of BlueFTP I put up. But just in case anyone is interested here is the link from getjar and the jar and jad if you wish to try it.  Just substitute this app for the blueFTP app on the first post.

You have to do the original install with TKFE.

No way around it since our phone needs permissions for blueFTP to work correctly. So you have to get TKFE to work at least once.

Thanks Agoat.

Would it be possible to update the My-Cast.jad using BlueFTP?  I assume all that would be needed was a copy(or cut) and paste without the "Update" part.

Also, could the editing of the My-Cast jad take place on the Memory Card since the phone can read .txt files?

Crankster I actually thought of that myself. Bantam's noteable said the jad was too big to be edited. With Blueftp you can rename files. If we could rename mycast.txt to mycast.jad then it might be possible. I havent tried yet. Possibly a simple html program can be put together that would make a new jad for us.  I will ask my programming buddies.

I thought about making a collection of jads ahead of time and just put them all on the memory card. As long as you didnt rename 'mycast' from 'blueftp/filesystem/myycast' Then yes you could. When you rename it to just 'mycast' that pulls it out of the blueftp folder  and it puts it in the games folder.

As long as its in the blueftp/filesystem folder you could go to it with blueftp, copy the new jad in there, and delete the appdb folder which will cause the application to reset.  It only uses the jad the very first time an application installs. That is why you have to goatbreak it to use the jad again and reinstall.

So yes it would be very possible to use blueftp to keep mycast weather going  instead of using TKFE. I will get back to you on that html program that when ran from the memory card.........Duh....if I could get an html program you could put that in the mycast folder of blueftp and it would update the jad maybe using the date as the new id # and then all you would have to do is go to blueftp and the mycast folder. Run the html file. Delete the appdb folder and you are done.

You got my brain spinning but this might just work.

Yep, I was thinking about installing My-Cast with BlueFTP to allow this also ... lol. Sounds like we have a lot of possibilities with this program. Thanks again for your efforts!

Thank GOD THERE'S A WAY AROUND TKFE!

I swear... That is the most FRUSTRATING way to do anything I've ever tried! I'm so happy... I'm almost crying...
