But you still have to use TKFE the first time to get blueftp installed with permissions.

Hey Guys,

Im having trouble with this. I have the Mythic and I copied the game files over to the file system, updated the java database and app database.

However, the game shows up in the apps menu and not the games menu.
Any way to fix this?

Thanks

This is an impression forum. There is a mythic forum to solve your problems. Please go there and ask. But you might try putting the games in the games folder and not the apps folder next time.  ;)http://www.samsung-mythic.com/

Followed all the instructions and it worked without a hitch. TKFE was working fine except for when the connection would drop during a file transfer, but I could hit reconnect and do it again and it would work. Anyways now that I have a memory card I'll use this install, thanks.

Hmm thats interesting. Perhaps Blue FTP doesn't see the Mythic file system the same way it does on the Impression. There is no games folder or apps folder in blue ftp. There is just a folder under root called My Private (filesystem) and any games or apps I put in there end up only showing on the apps menu.

In the mythic there is nothing showing in the My Private folder. I created a games folder and put the games in there but they still show up on the apps menu.

Anyways, I will continue further discussion over at the Mythic forum.

If you want to install to the games folder, then you need to install BlueFTP in the games folder. Makes more sense to install everythingon the mythic to the games folder for easy multitasking.

You have BlueFTP installed in the apps folder so thats where it installs everything.

OK THIS IS MY FIRST POST AND I HAVE TO SAY THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR MAKING SUCH A GREAT SIGHT ESPECIALLY Agoattamer.

Also sorry I hate typing I am going to attempt to load a .rar file with a bunch of fun things in it. And a folder with just Bt File manager As used in this post

I have transfered games from my Mac Book Pro Via bluetooth and moving with BT File manager

Step one connect and pair the device as any device leave the internet sharing unchecked at this moment and just click next till pared

Step two connect with bt File manager and move or copy files from your public folder to your file system folder and select move/copy again

I had to rename the file after it was in the filesystem/games folder but that was easy

Yes finally i can put games on from my mac side and never have to switch to windows again!  Damn auto-cad needs a mac version tho

There are alot of items in this rar and are to be used only for fun witch most require you to have permissions on both sides anyways so.... I would like to hear any feed back to this

Thanks again this site has ben really helpful
And sorry if someone has already figured this out and i read over it.

hey agoat this method worked GREAT but now whenever i install a game/app (one day after installing blueftp) it has a 50/50 chance of installing (it will say either work and not let me rename it or when i copy and paste it will say "cant paste *application name* item to local filesystem. reson: cannot write file". do you have any ideas why?

"First thing you will have to do is get the jar and jad of the application onto the memory card..."

Ard, hey i just wanted to say thanks everybody ahead of time for this forum and everybody's effort to help one another. Anyway, i understand mostly everything usually but i have my moments as well. lol.  Grin This unfortunately happens to be one of those times, my question is...

On the TKFE program, on the bottom portion (after you connect ), where it shows the phone and its files. Is that what ya mean by referring it to the memory card...OR am i way off ?...i guess what i am really trying to figure out is where EXACTLY do i put the  "BlueFTP" folder (with the BlueFTp141.jar and BlueFTP141.jad) ? ...the concern of brickin my phone got me on a limited standstill.  Huh

You are way off. That is your phones filesystem. Follow the TKFE thread to install blueftp. Then simply put the jad and jars of the other games and apps on the memory card using mass storage and not TKFE.
