Oh yea i never got to thank you,  Smiley i figured out what i am supposed to do...only problem i have to wrry about now is that TKFE is givin me problems. i remember a WHILE back, i wondered what people meant by having problems and errors cuase mines never did that more then once. what really tickes me off is that BlueFTP.jar file stops exactly at 128k, everytime. Angry i unistalled and install both TKFE nd pc studio && made sure i was to date on my drivers and all that. i guess im jus gonna have to keep tryin and reboot the computer ..ugh, i really need/want dis BlueFTP. everbody seems to be havin a blast wit it.  Tongue

First thing you will have to do is get the jar and jad of the application onto the memory card. Put it in a folder of the same name.  Ex: bolt.jar, bolt.jad in bolt folder.  Just like you would with a TKFE install. At this time you can do multiple installations each in its own folder.
I read this three times and still a bit confused.  I also read that TKFE (not the microSD memory card) is required to perform this install; I thought the folder & files have to be installed via TKFE, not the memory card?

So, if I interpreted it correctly then these are the steps:
1) Using TKFE, create a folder @ exe>java>games, then add the 2 files,
2) Use the dial pad method to update the phone system settings,
3) Run the program on the phone (to ensure it works properly), &
4) Copy/paste the program to microSD memory card.

I don't understand the reason that I must copy the BlueFTP program to the memory card if it's already on the games/apps inside the phone (via TKFE).  Then again, maybe I read too much into the quote above, whereas "memory card" refers to the phone, not the actual memory card.
The game or app will be installed and you can go to your games and apps menu to run the app. It will be named in a folder for BlueFTP. You can rename the app without the folder structure if you wish. It will not affect anything. The app/game actually installs in the exe/java/games/BlueFTP/filesystem folder instead of the games folder. But when you rename it without  the folders it actually moves the install to the games folder.  Right where it belongs.
Just to verify what someone asked earlier, once I add a game/app/program to the phone via BlueFTP and rename it on the phone, I can remove it from the microSD card?  Of course, I would save the file to my computer, so to have more space on the microSD card for pictures, music, videos, etc.

Lastly, does this program interact with any Bluetooth enabled device?  My idea would be to Bluetooth pix/songs/vids/programs from a computer with Bluetooth to the Impression (so not to remove the microSD from the Impression every bloody time).

Long-time Cingular/AT&T user; I've owned & used these devices, in order from oldest to newest: LG CE500, Motorola ROKR E1, Samsung Sync, HTC 8525, & Samsung Impression [AT&T replacing it with the LG Vu Plus].

I upgraded due to AT&T's rude desire to require the $30/month smartphone data plan!  So, I have an unlimited messaging plan only.

The tutorial never said to copy blue ftp to the memory card. You have to install it with the TKFE and master key method. Then you can copy games and apps to be installed to the memory card and use blueftp to install them.

Did you just repeat yourself?

OK, after the above reply I finally understand what was intended.  I thought "application" referred to BlueFTP, not "application" meaning the game/file/app to be transferred via BlueFTP.
Just to verify what someone asked earlier, once I add a game/app/program to the phone via BlueFTP and rename it on the phone, I can remove it from the microSD card?  Of course, I would save the file to my computer, so to have more space on the microSD card for pictures, music, videos, etc.

I would like a confirmation of these answers as well.

You can emove the jad and jar from the memory card after install. It is used for install only.

I have not tried using the application with bluetooth. Did you try?

So, let me get this straight

I successfully installed BlueFTP onto my impression and can run the program I did the whole "Mmc" bit, etc.

Now to install the games I want, I just have to do what exactly? Make a folder that;s the same name as the jar and jad file, save that to my memory card, and run BlueFTP?

Did you install ebuddy? Are both your game and app called ebuddy? Your phone does the renaming from the games and apps menu. Just select the more soft key then rename.

I got this to work a long time ago but when I installed Predators on my phone, it is in landscape mode, but there are arrows on the right side like when you try to play MeBoy. How do u get rid of those arrows?

You can rename the app without the folder structure if you wish.

ok- Agoat, you are earning your pay.  This is amazing.  1 questions- what does it mean to rename without the folder structure??  I know how to rename apps, but the "without folder structure" is throwing me...

After you install a game or app with blueftp you will see it in your games and apps menu as blueftp/filesystem/game. Just select "rename" and then the entry you want to change. Then just enter the name of the game or app. It will actually move the file from exe/java/games/blueftp/filesystem to exe/java/games and give it the proper name at the same time.
