Hello everyone, my name is Gin and I just got a new Samsung Impression A877.

Everything is good but the PC Studio. I want to transfer musics and pictures from my XP to this phone, so i use the disk(which is already included in the box) to install the PC Studio.
After I downloaded it, i plugged my phone with the USB in, the PC Studio found my phone, then i opened up my music, and then i right click on a random song, then i click on the word...transfer to device(samsungGHS A877, which is my phone), then it keeps loading, loading, loading.......then a red X, it said cant connect, then i close the program, restart my computer, unplugged the phone, then when the computer is on again, i plugged the phone in, my XP still found the phone, then i right click on a random song, transfer this to device(samsungGHSa877), then it just keep loading loading loading again....then the SAME thing happened, red X, cant connect, then unpluged, restarted,............

I got this from the AT&T store, brand new, memory card is in it, the USB plug is in it too, i bought this for $250(with no rebate because I dont text much, so i didnt pay $5 for 200 msg, you know)

Could someone explain or show me how to transfer musics/photos between the Samsung Impression A877 and PC Studio?

thnx

For pc-studio do you have usb connection on the phone set on PC-Studio?

If you cant get pc-studio to work you can always set usb connect on mass storage and transfer you pics and music easily that way to your memory card. Phone will show up as a removeable disk on 'My Computer" on your pc.

If you set usb connectivity on media player your phone will show up in 'My Computer' also and this time you can see memory card and phones media folders.

So when I connect the USB from the phone to my PC, 3 options will showed up, Mass Storage, PC Studio, Media Player. I always select the PC Studio, and it never works. SO you are telling me that I should choose either Mass Storage or Media Player??

No, I didnt say that. Dont use the ask. It doesnt work properly if you ask me. If connecting to pc-studio put it on 'PC-Studio'.  If it wont connect try rebooting phone while still plugged in to computer.

But you can also connect (not using the pc-studio program) in mass storage mode and media player mode. You can transfer music and pics that way easily without using the pc-studio program.

Im not sure why your pc-studio does that.  Yes thats what it is for. Transferring media from phone and computer. If all else fails, samsung has a 1-800 number for tech support.  Its their app so there is no sense calling ATT.

You can put your phone in mass storage mode. You can transfer pics and songs to the memory card that way.
