Hello all...

I was wondering, before purchasing the Impression, if that phone has the ability to use a touchscreen landscape keyboard, without sliding the screen up!?

I like the touchscreen of the Eternity, but like the additional features of the Impression!

I appreciate all feedback in advance!

Yes, you can use both the virtual keyboard, just like the Eternity, or the physical slide out keyboard as well.  Which ever you choose to use.

Thanks! I thought I would ask here, because I went to the AT&T store here locally, and the guy said, "I think the only way landscape is to slide the keyboard", and I turned the phone sideways, and I waited for the keyboard to appear (like the Eternity), and nothing happened, so I guess I probably didn't do it right!

As far as Applications for the Impression... Is there a wide range of aftermarket apps, or are they slowly evolving!? :-)

It is not like the iphone. But there are alot of apps that you can install from gps to email to dictionaries and messaging apps. There are alot of non touch and touch screen games. Trust me it is not without apps. And we can show you how to get most on here. And the impression is just like the eternity except you have the slideout if you ever want to use it.

The iPhone, it surely is not like, nor will there ever be a phone as such! If you want an iPhone, buy an iPhone! :-)

My company started out with the iPhone v1, and were beta testers for the 2.0 software, then we got upgraded to the iPhone 3G, and were beta testers for the 3.0 software, and now have the iPhone 3GS and am beta testing new software already. It is a nice phone, but it is something in a class of its own...

As for the Impression... My g/f currently has the Vu, and it's a nice phone... She doesn't like the touch screen, and I showed her the Impression, so she's going to upgrade to that phone. When I was at the AT&T store, there seemed to be quite a bit of differences (mainly apps / functions) between the Eternity and the Impression. Am I right in thinking that the biggest differences between the two are the installed apps, and the functions of the phone!? Neither of them have WiFi, correct!?

If I was to hold the two side by side, and try and notice a quick, summarized difference between the two, what would it be, if you would be so kind, sir!
