OK, so I go into games and apps folder and hit the more button and see "LOCK".  It then gives me the option to lock my games and apps, and I think to myself "that would be cool seeing I have accidentally ended up on the internet without knowing it"- imagine my surprise one day when I took my phone out of my pocket after a 40 minute drive to see Mr. Obama's face on it-and then get the bill to boot...
Anyway, I locked the apps and it did nothing.  I was still able to initiate and get into the appps.  It did not ask for any password.  Am I missing something?

There's actually a way to delete these apps off the phone permanently.  Check the stickys in the How To sub-forum or search for it using the search bar above.

Locking the app just keeps you from accidentally deleting it.

I have more trouble accidentally getting on the internet than accidentally deleting apps!!
I just set up a dummy connection and pointed them to that.  Don't want to delete them, as I will be getting a data plan next billing cycle and want to be able to use some of the non-pay-4-use ones.  Thanks for all the suggestions.

glad to help, ive finally decided on getting a data package and it is really nice but it does seem like phone companies put programs that do use data into the most convenient place to accidentally press it. Most of the phones that my friends with you cant make a dummy network like this phone so that is one of the things that i like about this phone
