Modem driver quest..............

Okay, i got my unlimited data plan and usb cord. I tried the tutorial that was posted but it was for vista.( i have winxp) i downloaded the driver that vkitty posted but i cant find it. i hooked up my phone to the laptop and it does nothing, even in mass storage or media mode. do i have to get software for pc studio? (according to vkitty, you dont have to) my frustration is setting in.  im ready just to buy a friggin aircard and bite the bullet. trying to find wifi in my area sucks, and some of the music they play at internet cafe's makes me want to vomit. i am not a computer wiz, just a regular joe trying to save some money. but if someone can get me hooked up i'll buy you an adult beverage of your choice.

TKFE is a file explorer you install on your computer to browse the filesystem of your phone.

If you can do nothing in mass storage mode then you have issues with your pc unless you dont have a clue what you are doing. I assume you are using the cable that came with your phone.

The tutorial works for both. Download the driver and run it.

If you have your phone in samsung pc-studio mode and pc-studio running on your computer they should connect automatically.  If not click on the search for device icon in top right corner and it should find the phone.
