Ok...So i was trying to set up the phone to connect to my carpc through bluetooth to tether, and accidentally connected to my mac instead....I decided to go a little farther and see if I could set it up...when the bluetooth connect program got to the end I was surprised to see that it told me that it was able to connect with a DUN network, and even popped up on the phone to ask to use a dun network...I know that this is not just a general thing, cause I was trying to get a PAN setup for a lifetime with multiple other phones...so the fact that it recognizes that it can be used as a modem is great (it even described it as using phones data connection to connect to internet...so i know thats good...)

I put in the right settings...left username and password blank, and put *99# in the dial number...everything works great until I click connect...my phone asks if I would like to connect via DUN, and I say yes, and then the mac pops up the error...

"Failed to open an RFCOMM serial channel.
Check if authentication needs to be enabled in your device."

Any idea around this...now I did notice that when I was setting the settings, it asked for modem script, and it says Apple Internal 56k modem...I assume "modem script" is apple language for driver...I didn't see anything that was made by samsung...I am thinking that maybe the only thing keeping me back is that I need a general samsung driver or a specific driver for the phone...does anyone know what I am doing wrong...

bump....anyone know...i may end up writing a modem script, or at least a program that opens a constant data connection with the phone, in which DUN can be accomplished without interuption...
