I'm unable to access my folders to attach files to emails using web mail accounts. I've tried both Opera Mini and Bolt. I'm able to do attachments using the AT&T.net browser on my Mythic and my wife would like to be able to do the same on her Impression.

Yes, we're too cheap to pay for any messaging plan.

If you installed Opera and Bolt OTA they won't have permissions to access the phones files system.

You could try goatbreaking them. If you read the first post in the thread I linked to it explains why this might work.

That's what I figured. I wasn't planning on doing it to my wife's phone if I could avoid it. Mainly just to avoid going downstairs to use the computer that TKFE works on.

I modded my wife's Impression the second day we had it Smiley

Just be careful, with the master key method of installing apps it is pretty simple and painless, probably take you two minutes.

The best stuff on her phone is the stuff I got from here!

Do I need the master key to goatbreak it? I'm just modifying Opera Mini so it has permissions. I'd put other things on it but she'd just get mad. It was hard enough convincing her to get something other than a basic flip phone.

You only need to use the master key when installing with TKFE.  If you installed it by downloading it then just use tkfe to goatbreak it. Please don't mix up the 2 different install methods.
