I found that my phone has 3 normal phillips screws and 3 silver screws that i've got no idea how to remove. I thought at first they were torx screws but they weren't. So does anyone hear know what kinda screws these are and how to remove them? Thanks. And everyone is a phillips. I have only seen phones with phillips or torx screws. If they look like torx then they must be torx. If the driver doesn't fit then get a different size. The centre left and right screws are philips and the bottom screws are silver. I've tried T5-T10 screw drivers and none of them have managed to open the case. The heads themselves look either Hex or simply circular its kinda hard to tell when eyeballing them bcuz they may have stripped somehow. I think its cuz the fact that my phone is one of the first made. Cuz my mom has the exact same phone and then she got a refurbished one cuz her digitzer got screwed up and her new refurbished phone has all philips screws. Logged Agoattamer Administrator Hero Member Cookies: 64 Posts: 5962 Search and be Polite Re: Strange screws on back of phone « Reply #7 on: May 24, 2011, 01:20:42 PM » I have to say that they are torx bits and not allen heads.  I have yet to see a phone that uses allen screws.  There are many torx sizes between T5-T10.  Even half sizes.  Chances are that you just didn't use the correct driver or used inferior drivers that have stripped it out.
