Their instructions say I need to install a non-ATT network SIM prior to unlocking. I tried a NET 10 SIM but it didn't see it. I figured it was because it is pay as you go. So do I need a T-Mobile or regional carrier SIM to make it work? Does it have to be active? Is Net 10 for a GSM phone?  You can just borrow the sim card from a friend.  T-mobile should work. I used #7465625*638*Unlock Code# with  the applicable unlock code I got from ATT and it said "Network Lock Deactivated"...  I should have searched the forum better, DUH!!!
