Hello all,

Obviously new here to the forums.  I've been scrounging the net for
1) see if there are any Impression users who have TMobile as their provider
2) configure apps and web so that I can use them!

I know that the Impression came packed with preloaded at&t apps and I'm probably missing out by not having at&t as my provider.  That being said, I love this phone and would like to enjoy more things out of it if possible.

Currently I am having issues with getting even googlemaps installed.  I keep getting a "Content mismatch" error.  I think I dug up some other sites and will try it out when I have time, but I was wondering if anyone else had such problems, and if there are any, some solutions!

Also, for anyone else who do use TMobile alongside the Impression, what other tips and tricks have you found?

Thanks for any help!

I use the Impression with T-Mobile but I haven't really gotten the chance to mess with it like that as I just got from eBay this past week and unlocked today. Overall, I really don't think I'll be adding any apps or anything really to the phone. The only reason it attracted me to this phone was the aim and the qwerty keyboard.

If I'm able to put other apps on it, that would be cool.  However the main thing I would like to have is Googlemaps.  If you're able to figure out how to do it or find information, please pass it along!

Thanks!!

Keep in mind that the Impression was made for use on AT&T's network, so while it is possible to use a T-Mobile SIM on an unlocked AT&T phone, it is not compatible with the radio frequencies T-Mobile uses on their 3G network (AT&T = 850/1900, T-Mobile = 1700).

This means you will be limited to the old, much slower "Edge" network speeds, and a data intensive app like Google Maps will probably not perform very well.
