Thanks, based on everything I'd read on these forums, I was thinking it was likely the rx.  I tried upping that and changed the tx back to default (in TKFE), but I haven't tried the headset yet to see how it worked.

Can anyone tell me the procedure in increasing the volume for the pre-installed IM sounds? Such as when I receive a message through the AIM messenger?

When I try to change my "Mic Volume" settings the numbers do not change.  When I put your suggested values in they stay as is or just go to 0.  I tried rebooting and doing it again and same issue.  See I originally made a mistake and made the mic way too loud and now I can hear myself talking in the background so I'm trying to get the numbers straight.  Any help?

Here are the volume original and what I changed mine to.  These are for mp3 listening using the phone's speaker, listening to mp3's with headphones, and mic volume so others can hear you better. My changes are uniform and would be if it was 2-8 instead of 1-7 on volume control. Basically up 1 setting.  The first code *#197328640# is entered like you were making a phone call.

MP3's using headphones
EAR MP3 Volume, READ (*#197328640#, [8]audio, [2]ear config, [4]av-qtune, [1]ear mp3 vol)

All I can say is you are entering the values incorrectly. If you changed them the first time they will change again. Check your procedure carefully.

Increasing ringtone starts out lower. If message tone is short then it never has the chance to reach level 7. Ringtone should after 2-3 seconds. But regularl volume control will overide settings.  Make sure you have volume turned all the way up.

Downloads have been pulled till I can investigate what is bricking phones.

According to the bottom of this post, this was done in November 2009.  I am still seeing other people getting and using the downloads.

Please!! Tell me where I can get the downloads.  I work in a manufacturing company, and have trouble hearing my phone.  This sounds like a fantastic fix...if I could only get it.

Thanks in advance.

They have been returned to the first post. ALL volumes increased. Includes settings from my other mod to increase sound for calls. Not responsible for those that go deaf or have the police at their door for loud music. Use at your own risk. Follow instructions on first post.

Can someone confirm what the default settings for the speaker phone are? I screwed up the settings and now my speaker phone whistles at me. I don't want to blow the speaker.

If I enter *#197328640# and then do 8 - 3 -3 -3 for SPK CODEC GAIN are these the following default numbers for that menu?

10
-21
0
4
-84
6

I thought -84 was a bit drastic of a difference compared to the other numbers, but what do I know?

Right now I have

10
-21
