I was messing around in internals and my phone rebooted to a black screen with a blue border reading this message in yellow text.

----------------------------------
DEMSBL BOOT Loader for MSM6298
                       Uploader Ver 5.50
----------------------------------

I don't know if this is of any use. When i tried to connect to my impression from TKFE it listed the phone as PC113824047319 and required a user name and password to connect to it.

Interesting. I know you can get to it by simply holding the volume down while powering on, and i connected it to my computer which resulted in absolutely nothing, but i didnt try to go into TKFE. Maybe the password is the masterkey? And the username is something generic like, leaving it blank, user, or samsung? I think i may go try this. Ill edit this post with my results. Though i just noticed that you're talking about a slightly different boot loader. Ill try it with my way and see if it gets the same pop up as your boot loader did.

EDIT: Well i found out when i connect to TKFE like i normally would it comes up with the connection of COM9 and connects with no problem. But when i enter into the bootloader then it reads it at COM3 (with the same USB port) but when i hit connect TKFE becomes unresponsive and i have to exit out of it. So if you could tell me where the bootloader is that you used in the internals then i could try again and see what happens.

BTW Agoattamer may sue you for name infringement. lol.

Holding the volume down while starting the phone up does bring up a slightly different boot loader. Red instead of yellow text with "more than" added before Downloader v5.5. But when i try to connect to my phone using TKFE it makes my computer go unresponsive.

EDIT: Unfortunately when you get to the yellow boot loader it basically bricks your phone. Every time you restart, it just goes back to the yellow boot loader page. So unless you don't mind bricking your phone for awhile i wouldn't try to figure out how to get to it. The varying COM port destination is interesting

i got to that screen by accident one time while trying to charge my phone didnt know how i did it but i was freaked out when it happened though i had bricked my phone.
I beleive that with my old motorola that is how you unlock the phone or something without calling att to unlock it b/c you have to downgrade the bootloader screen to unlock it for use with tmobile

I just did this to my phone. It was acting wierd ( slow, lagging ) so i went into the internals looking for a diagnostics test or something of that nature. I see Debug mode. So i set it to High, and it rebooted the phone into the yellow text blue bored boot loader.  Anyway out of it?

well not for us yet, the eternity but not us..... anyways what you can do is just get a free replacment... dont say what you did to get to the screen your on say its not turning on or that that screen just came up.... they will ask for phyiscal damage... say no and you got your replacment..... Yes that is your only choice as of right now

I did the same damn thing haha. Idk what I was thinking... I knew I didn't need to do it, but before I could leave the screen it reboot itself and that was it.

Sorry to bring back a dead thread... but i manually put my impression into the loader screen. (down on volume control while powering on) and connected it to my computer.

as soon as i did this it put new drivers on (SAMSUNG Mobile Modem Diagnostics)

so i went to my device manager and found this in the COM section

http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/1317/portd.jpg

i dont know what to do from here. but i figured it might be of some help. i honestly dont know.

you can change port settings and stuff too.

The DEMSBL boot loader is only good for re-flashing (as far as I know).

Nothing special about it.

1. You revived a dead thread, please don't do that.
2. Reflash your phone to fix your problem.
