Samsung Impression - Bought it anyway despite the reviews!

I have to judge everything for myself. I have had the phone for 2 days and have spent hours playing with it, figuring out how to add ringtones, pictures etc.
I really like this phone. My first touchscreen..loving it, plus I can actually text without ending up on the web(like my other phone with buttons that were small)
I do have an issue with the assending ringer...that may drive me crazy....I love it all loud..but I guess I can deal. I almost bought the Mythic because it has FACEBOOK & GMAIL already on it..but this phone felt better. Glad I found a forum for this phone. Cheesy

The Mythic is very buggy and not that great of a phone...too bad they have Touchwiz 2.0 and we only have Touchwiz 1.0 lol.

I personally like this phone better. Since I'm a texter, the keyboard is a huge factor for me.

Welcome to the forums. Glad you found us and we are able to make your phone better than the reviews stated.

There are a couple of workaraounds for the ascending ringtone issue, the easiest being to just insert 3 seconds of "dead air" or silence at the beginning of your ringtone. That's the amount of time that the ascension takes.

The facebook app on the mythic is nothing special that the impression can't do. And there is no free gmail for the mythic either. Costs you an extra $5 a month for it through mobile email 3.0. The gmail app is free from google and is just as good as the one on the mythic.
