Hello and welcome to the forum. You can find the info on how to do a complete volume increase here. Please be careful when in the internals stick to what is recomended and don't mess around with things you are unsure of.  Cheesy

That is where you enter the DB number.  If you want 12.50 DB then type in 1250 then OK.  It should then bounce you back to the READ screen so you can select a different value to change.

What you did sounds correct.

thanks, i can change them now, but only a single number. if i try to put in -21 i get 0
if i try to put in 12.50 i get 1. it is only reading one number. the -21 values are now 0
do i need to reset or anything to get the -21 and -20 values back? it wont let me enter more than one number and automatically goes back to the read screen. sry if im bein a pain.

this is what i was told to change them to, but i ended up with what is below

Existing Values----the settings before i tried changing them---
===========
1.txvol: 7 dB
2.dtmf_tx: -21 dB
3.cod_tx: 0 dB
4.cod_rx: 0 dB
5.cod_st: -20 dB
6.whisper_TxVol: 10 db

Updated Values------what i was trying to set them at-----
============
1.txvol: 12 dB
2.dtmf_tx: -21 dB
3.cod_tx: 5 dB
4.cod_rx: 0 dB
5.cod_st: -20 dB
6.whisper_TxVol: 5 dB

my current settings:----what i ended up with-----
==========
1.txvol: 9 dB
2.dtmf_tx: 0 dB
3.cod_tx:5 dB
4.cod_rx: 0 dB
5.cod_st: 0 dB
6.whisper_TxVol: 5 db

Are these for bluetooth? I know some of the bluetooth items cannot be changed.  But these are changeable for other items. RCV, SPK, EAR

Find the settings in the appropriate text file in the complete volume increase thread. Make your changes there in the appropriate text file.  Then write that file to your phone.

Yeah, when I tried to change bluetooth, it changed every value to the same... was very annoying. As to the values you want.... put in 1250 not 12.50- leave the decimal point out.

i was not trying to set bluetooth. when i try to put in 1250 it only accepts the first digit. in this case a 1  i am now getting an echo when i talk on my phone. its driving me crazy. is the settings i have now the reason for that?
settings are now:

1.txvol: 9 dB
2.dtmf_tx: 0 dB
3.cod_tx:5 dB
4.cod_rx: 0 dB
5.cod_st: 0 dB
6.whisper_TxVol: 9 db

can i get factory settings back somehow?

these were the factory settings:
1.txvol: 7 dB
2.dtmf_tx: -21 dB
3.cod_tx: 0 dB
4.cod_rx: 0 dB
5.cod_st: -20 dB
6.whisper_TxVol: 10 db

thank you guys so very much for trying to help me

I think you are not doing it correctly. On the read screen you select the number of the item you wish to change. That takes you to the write screen. Do not use the number pad now. Instead tap in the text box and that brings up the qwerty or dial pad.  Use that to enter your values.

Easiest way to restore your values is here.
