it's getting close.  I got to play with the Captivate and Inspire the other day.  Captivate is still close to my heart, but am seeking any input...  the selling point of the Inspire being 4g is not a strong one for me, as 4g does not even exist yet and will not be available for 2-3 years...(what they are calling 4g these days is 3g with a few "modifications")

Any thoughts?

Me personally the inspire. The new HTC sense on it is awesome sense really gives allot of customization and the HTC widgets are really nice. The inspire has a 8 meg camera compared to a 5 meg on the captivate. I also think overall build quality of HTC is better. The processor seemed more  snappy to me as well. I could go on but I think you get the idea of what my thoughts are. That's my 2 cents.

With the inspire you can expect updates that will not crash your phone. Oh hell at least you will get updates with the HTC inspire.  Wink

Has the Captivate even gotten Froyo yet?  I know they introduced it a ways back, but pulled it again.  I have had my mind set on Captivate for so long now, but all the review for the Inspire and "HTC Sense" blow it away. They are now the same price also, ($99) but I can talk the captivate down to $45 due to Walmart pricing. the Atrix also has my attention, but I do not need the laptop seeing I just bought one last year.

So I have had my Inspire for a week now.  Had to turn it in for a different one after 3 days (due to dropping it and poor reception) and I must say I LOVE IT!!!   I love the feel in my hand and the size of the screen.   It beats out the Droid II and IPhone by far.  I love the customizability and speed of the processor.  The phone can be set up to do what you want how you want.  Think of it as starting on a blank slate and building it to your own specs.  The phone comes with some useful apps and functions, but it is really through the APP Market that you create your own experience.

Even my Droid II for work now seems like a dinosaur!!  Only thing that annoys me is the battery life.  But that is because I have dozens of apps running.

LOL, I remember when people used to complain about the battery life of the impression.   Grin
