Unfortunately I will have to leave ATT. The dropped calls are driving me insane. I literally have a dead zone in my house. From the drive way, to the back porch, the entire basement and first floor.......nothing. Dead as a doorknob. I have to start making phone calls as I start walking up the steps to the second floor and the reception is best on the third. I have put up with it for quite sometime and I'm done. I want a new network. I've grown fond of my impression now that I know how to tether, I've got new games and a few cool applications. So If you had the opportunity to jump ship, where would you go and what would you get?  I like Samsung phones, but HTC seems real cool too. I already know that T-mobile and Sprint works in my house just fine. Just would like to know what is on everybody's wish list before I make my decision.
Thanks

I'd get a HTC HD2 and go to T-Mobile. They've already found a way to dual boot Windows Mobile 6.5 and Android on that thing.

Maybe get Sprint and go with Evo 4G or Epic 4G. Epic is made by Samsung, and Evo is by HTC.

Yes, I love HTC phones. So get a HTC phone if your new carrier has one.

Hope you still visit.  Grin

I have decided to go with t-mobile.  But I have not picked out a phone yet. Part of me wants to get an Android Samsung Galaxy, pay all that money for a new phone and hope I used to the new os. My second thought was to get a rose Behold and I practically already know the phone. My questions to the experts are these.....
    1. Can I get the same apps on the Behold that I have on my Impression? Namely MusicID-A, and Google Maps.
    2. Can I tether?
The rest I can figure out. The behold site is horrible. I've been on there for hours and can't find a straight answer or good directions. I was able to get my tethering up and running with the first try using the guides here. And I downloaded almost all of my games using rumkin. I trust you guys to help. If I can't tether, then I can't stand to hang out at my boyfriends house that does not have internet. So I might as well get an Android phone. So thanks ahead of time. Looking forward to your thoughts.

If you're willing to pay for a data plan, I would go for a smart phone. You will know the phone better if you get a similar one with the same OS, but won't it get kind of boring quicker if you have less to figure out/explore? Also, android has a pretty big community (from what I've seen so far).
I'm pretty sure that there are apps that can allow you to tether an android phone (On android 2.2 I think it's even built in, it makes a wifi network with your 3g connection). If you can't find any in the market, I'm sure there are some if you root your phone.

Definitely look up whatever phones you are thinking of purchasing. You can look for forums for whatever phone you think you might get. For example, you can google "<phone name here> forums" or "<phone name here> reviews"

The behold is very similiar to the samsung eternity. Almost everything you can do on the impression you can do on the behold.

Went to the T-mobile store yesterday just to ask questions about the plans, and I walked out with a new phone! This Vibrant seems awsome! I just have to relearn how to use my phone. I found an android site called androidforums.com and I was able to set up tethering on my phone with PDAnet with no problems. You guys have been great. Thanks to everyone.  I will everyone who will listen. I'll miss you guys.
