Just wondering if anyone else uses any other bluetooth software than the windows version b/c the windows one sucks b/c everytime you want to send or recieve an item you have to tell it you want to send or recive.

just wondering if anyone has like a free bluetooth software that allows you to connect to a phone or bluetooth device and not have to ask to send or recive a file everytime just be able to send anything you want without having to do it one at a time

I'm slightly confused... I have a bluetooth adapter on my comp, but if I want to send a file from my phone to the computer, I have to go in and click recieve, but I have my phone set so that if I want to send something to my phone from the comp or from my fiances phone, I don't have to touch my phone. Actually, I've sent stuff to my phone from my computer, and my phone was actually in the other room  Cheesy I so get a kick out of that

In the windows settings and on the phone they can be set to just receive without prompt. I do it all the time.

I'll have to check it out again. It had to do with making sure the correct port was set up. I know I did it before. I'll get back with you.

My Dell laptop came with a Toshiba bluetooth stack installed which allowed me to do that, but I don't know where you can get that and its not free.  I installed Windows 7 beta (from xp) and it obviously got deleted, and I looked for it again but I never found it. So now I'm stuck with the windows program instead.

Not sure if it will work with other makes of computers though.

i tried Bluesoiliel (i think thats how you spell it) you have to buy it and its around $30 but i did the trial version first all that it really does it let you browse your phone files and copying is really easy but i uninstalled it b/c i did not really want to pay for it but when i uninstalled it the software disabled windows bluetooth and on windows 7 if you do that you cant open Devices and Printers you just get a long loading bar and you have to go into systems and start up bluetooth again whihc took me hours to figure out what went wrong

I just installed bluesoleil yesterday. Found a rapidshare link with a keygen.  Grin  It works pretty good. But still the built in one should do the same.

Was attempting to use it for TKFE but all I could get was the infamous disconnect errors. Set my bt modem connection up easily and did work for that. Also was able to establish a serial connection. But just not with TKFE. Has to be the same issue that others have with the usb cable. Guess its just not the right time of day or the wind is blowing too hard. lol
