Okay, so my contract with AT&T is up at the end of December, and i was wondering what a good upgrade would be?

I do not want to commit to another 2 year contract if at all possible. So, I was wondering what a good phone to buy would be? I want to spend no more than $200 on a new phone.

What I am considering right now is buying the new Virgin Mobile LG Optimus Slider ($199 + $35/month for plan).

Anyone have any input as far as this choice? Good, bad...any better options for me?
Any input on this would be really appreciated.

You will be pretty limited by companies that do not require contracts, but some are available.  I would research other forums for particular phones you are seeking, and go in and play with them as much as you can. 

As for me, HTC is great, and I am really loving the Droid RAZR right about now, but that starts on verizon at $200 WITH a 2 year contract!
