PANCAKES!!!

The problem is how many "twists" or "coils" are in the wire. If you ever get the chance to look at the antenna on the circuit board, you'll notice it zig-zags a few times, and this is the important part.
Sounds like high school physics right there Tongue

My niece was in a pretty bad car accident 2 years ago. She has metal rods in both arms and legs. She said if she doesn't get a cell signal she just raises one of arms and voila!

that is kinda cool and weird at the same time. but to go through the car accident i would rather stay without signal

Speaker phone under your chin is the only option.. Works for car remotes

Be sure to get the stuff with the silver flakes

Better yet Find some old lead based paint and just dump it over your self and eat the dryed up chips.. Then you could be mostly metal

*Warning Stunts here are preformed by professionals do not try these at home*

Little late on the strainer thing but just a thought satellite dishes reflect in to the dish first then bounce out there for wouldn't you need a reflector shield to direct in to the parabola or center of the dish... and i think a piece of sheet metal high gauge of course SS polishing even may help be more effective... one step farther if someone likes metals and spot welding a 1'D dish should reflect a very nice field

I had triple bypass heart surgery and they put 5 stainless steel wires in my ribs to hold them together.  If I carry my phone in my shirt pocket, I get 9 bars, and can connect to the Martian Internet!!!

Hey goat great site, I have searched and other then your foil and strainer tricks, is there a way to hook up and external antenna, We live out in the sticks, and I have an antenna mounted outside and a wire that comes in and plugs into the phone, I had a phone that I had to drill a small hole in the back case and a razor that just popped out a plug,You have had the case off and phone all apart, just wondering if there was a hook up under there somewhere. thanks for your info and site I have learned how to use my phone pretty good because of this site.

*UPDATE*ok after going into the At&t store and about slapping the "supposed" tech there another customer heard what I was asking, and he took the back cover off his phone and showed me. so here's what I found out.

take the back off, and on the right side half way between the battery and the top screw there is a little black 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch piece of plastic. you pull that off and there is an antenna port under it, below is the type of adapter you will need. you will need to drill a small hole in your back cover, it does not say it on this page for this phone number but if you go back a page you will see this same model number for other samsung phone and it does tell you to drill a whole, also the guy at the att shop had a whole drilled in his, and works great.

note you will need to have an outside antenna mounted for any of this to work, but inside I get no bars, and with an antenna hooked up I get 3 to 4 bars, and just leave the phone hooked up and walk around that house using a BT headset,

Just thought I would share

Yes I knew about the antenna port in the back of the phone. But no one that I can recall researched the actual antenna adapter. Nice find and thanks for posting.

If you wrap yourself in exactly 57.4 yards of nylon wrapped #2 copper for every cubic centimeter of spacial displacement of your body mass X volume and plug one end into a positive capacitor and the other into a 12v dc battery (careful to ONLY use the negative post) that is connected to 14 meters of buried lithium tube with a diameter of 16.8cm and then smoke approximately 2grams of crack cocaine I am certain of two things:
1. It won't help a bit.
2. You won't care.

*Do NOT try this at home... or anywhere else... really.... it is just sarcasm and is not meant to be taken seriously... really...*
