Be careful because there is a high chance of bricking your phone.

The locked screen photos change each time the lock button is pressed without pressing it long enough to unlock it. Yes the images are located in the pictures file on the FS. But goat is right just changing the files and leaving the name achieves nothing. obviously there is a another source for the locked screen random change photos. possibly a animated gif file or something combining all the photos as a slideshow perse.

I agree that the locked screen slideshow does take away from the phone since those photos cannot be easily edited.

No it is a .rbm file in a hidden folder.

So i'm guessing this probably wont be able to be 'fixed' on our impressions if you still haven't figured it out yet goat. Correct?

I have searched like crazy for something to edit these rbm files. They are compressed groups of bitmap files. But I can't find anything to open them. If I could then I am certain I could change them.

What program are we using to even see these compressed files? has there been success with even getting them copied from the phone? I wouldn't mind playing around with trying to get the file opened for editing if I could copy it to my computer. Wouldn't want to risk bricking the phone trying to do it directly on the phone.

I love the vette u got in ur profile picture! ahh maN HOW i wish i can at least have a c5 z06 , c6 z06 , c6 zr1 , c4 zr1 , or even the BEAST -TT 93' sledgehammer corvette -
If you don't lock the screen on your phone (or have it set to automatically lock), then whatever custom wallpaper you designate will always show up and be the default one.

All those pictures are locked. How do you unlock them. Then you can delete them.
I want to get rid of all them as I have my own.

Try this: Close your eyes right before you press the 'lock' key and do not open them for the next 5 seconds... XD

I know this is not going to help buuuut I have to complain a tiny bit here.  Why would they make a phone where you simply can't change something as simple as the locked screen images?  It seems Samsung made a great phone and then just threw some crappy firmware on it.  What a waste

Well Samsung doesn't really care about this phone anymore. Shows their dedication to their customers, doesn't it?

Horrible company. Never buying a Samsung phone ever again.

All Samsung does is manufacture the phone.  Believe it or not but AT&T designs the phone.  Samsung also supplies the firmware's source for AT&T to make, customize, debug, and compile.  So the only thing your complaining about with samsung should be the hardware.  It's AT&T's crappy debug system, and cheap, fast, careless programming which is the cause for most, if not ALL problems with the phone.
