zmoore, I know you said you got it fixed, and that's awesome

I have that same problem, but changing ports doesn't help at all, and PC studio does work. If anyone else has this problem and found a fix for it, please let me know. I'm sure my fix is just trying it out on a different computer (which I will do if my friend ever fixes mine

) but thanks!

have you tried rebooting your computer with the device still pugged in? or you could check the drivers..... nver mind, saw that pc studio is working, although, it does take several drivers for the computer to recognize a device..... i would check the drivers through the comand prompt on your computer, going through command should show you the non-plug and play drivers. here are the steps for window vista/win7
Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.
At the command prompt, type the following lines, pressing ENTER after each line
set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1
start devmgmt.msc
when the device manager opens got to view and then show hidden devices. from there see if there are any drivers that have exclamation points or question marks...... you will likely find them in "other devices" right click and choose update driver, you can do a search automatically or from specific location if you know where the default pathway to where your divers are.
