Not possible on the impression. You need drivers. And they are not available.

I know this is a little old but just to clarify, haret is an exe program that runs inside of windows mobile to boot into android. its impossible to use the haret program on any other os such as ours that is samsungs proprietary touchwiz built on java. please correct me if im wrong.

You are correct.  I am using haret to run an android build on my HD2. But it is not a java application.

I have it running on my HTC Fuze. Same thing as the HD2 but a smaller screen. And i was saying that the impression is built on java. not haret.

Wish I could have an HD2. They put a stable version of Android 2.2 stock and Android 2.1 with HTC Sense.

Or is it unstable?

im not sure. if its stable im highly jealous cause haret provides a pretty smooth experiance but the battery life is pretty bad and it has to run on top of windows mobile. its not a flashable ROM or NAND yet, which may also be a reason why the battery life isnt good.

You are quite correct Reamer.  And very knowledgeable too.

Not stable on the HD2 yet. Not even close.  Haret was only patched a few weeks ago to run on the HD2.  Way above my skills or knowledge here. Havent had the experience of seeing it on other winmo phones. I am new to mobile windows. But loving what I have so far.

Oh wow, harent has been on the touch pro 2/fuze for months now. they just added 2.2 froyo but i dont think its as smooth as 2.1 yet so thats what im running. im still nowhere close to even the simplest of the guys over at xda (im guessing where you go for the HD2) but i actually came down from a windows phone because i wanted the simplicity. but now that ive been using these phones for so long i miss the "do whatever you want" with the windows base. and now with android its even more which is why in october when my contract is up im going that route.

pretty sure if you did find a ROM or whatever, you would install it from the bootloader by powering on while holding the volume down. i did try once, to flash my phone with some other phone's software, because i bricked it and was stuck in bootloader. then i got it fixed by company, and after seeing how many phones/devices let you enter the bootloader by holding down a certain key during boot, i entered the bootloader. then i about freaked out because i was hundreds of miles from home and i thought i just bricked my phone again lol but if you access the bootloader that way, you aren't locked in the bootloader permanently like i was the previous time for screwing around in master controls.

I'm just a little curious, who you are replying to?
