I've been having this issue for a while now, but don't remember it doing it when I first got the phone.  When the phone rings, the ring tones start out quiet, and then escalate to their normal volume.  When I go to my ring tone settings, they play normal.  I looked around but couldn't find anything on the forum. 

Is anybody else having this same issue?  Any ideas of possible fixes? 

P.S. Thanks to all of you for some great posts and work!  This forum has been extremely helpful.   Grin

Your phone has done this from the beginning. It is called an increasing ringtone. It does not start out on high. It takes about 3 seconds to come up to full volume.

Put a 3 second blank in front of your ringtones if you dont want to hear it.

now, i actually HAVE a problem with this
mine WONT always escalate like it should...
sometimes i get loud text tones that make me jump...
other times i cant hear it
sometimes i have the phone sitting in front of me and someone calls and it escalate, other times i never hear it...
and it's not that im missing is... im saying im HOLDING the phone and it's not loud
