I'm not sure how I did it.. but I have a ringtone that is over a minute long. It's only 200kb but the phone accepted it. It's the theme song to Green Acres. It transferred from my Blackberry when I switched the Sim card.

Since I have no clue of how that stuff works.. I'm wondering how a song that long can be 200kb yet none of the others are.

Anyone know?

..and yes, bring the harassment for having Green Acre as a ring tone.. I accept it.

It does not matter how long it is. It just cant be over 300kb.

I guess I related KB's with the length. Obviously, that isn't true.

Probably too long to explain to me on here.. and I probably wouldn't understand it anyway lol.

Trying to learn this "puter" stuff. Heck, I thought I was doing great just to make my own ringtones with Audacity.

Well lets say a higher quality stereo song would have a bitrate of 320 and 300kb in size. If you make it mono then it can be twice as long. If you cut the bitrate to 160 then it can double in length.Cut it to 80 and it can double in length again still keeping the same size fle.

Think of the bitrate as meaning the quality. The higher the number the better the quality.
