Where are ringtones stored and which option do I select when phone is plugged in to computer

It depends if you have a memory card or not. If you do use mass storage and just make a folder called ringtones and put them in there.

Can I do it on media player? It's not working on mass storage. Don't know which option to open

What is not working on mass storage? Did you put your phone in mass storage mode? Do you have a memory card? If your phone wont work in mass storage it wont work in the other modes either.
