Hey, I've been hacking my phone for a while now on my own and figured I would join your forums. I see that you have a sticky for warning people to check their bill for payed apps (
http://www.samsung-impression.org/samsung-impression-tips-and-tricks/check-you-bill-for-purchases/15/).
I myself have run into this problem twice.
But I also think you should sticky telling people that they can call up ATT and ask them to place blocks on all of their phones to prevent the downloading/subscribing of paid apps without a pin code. Each phone gets their own pin code, so I added one for all four phones on my family plan, that way no-one can accidentally "pants-purchase" again.
From a business perspective I can understand why they don't advertise to people that they can do this, but what happened to making customers feel safe and advertising that safety?
I help my mother manage the bill after my dad passed away and pay her for half because my wife and I are on the plan with her. It's cheaper than getting our own plan, and I'd have to help my mom with the bill anyways so why not just be on the same bill right? ;-) What I also found in the same phone call with ATT was that you can change which names show up next each number on the bill. By default it lists the same account holder's name next to ALL of the numbers (so it would say my mom's name next to all four numbers on the bill), but you can ask them change each name to whatever you want. Now she's a WHOLE lot less confused with who's racking up what on the phone bill.
