Just a simple thing that most people may have already noticed.. But if you're the kind of person who likes to dial phone numbers in widescreen with the pull out keyboard, you may want to take notice of the 'fn' key while dialing. this will allow you to switch over to dialing letters instead of numbers and the impression will automatically figure out what number is associated with that letter...

for instance, you want to dial '1-800-GOOG-411' on the keyboard. Well unless you've memorized what letters are associated with each number on a standard keypad layout, you might have a hard time dialing since numbers 1-9 are over top of only single letter keys on the physical keyboard. So to avoid all of that, just dial 1-800, hit fn, type GOOG on the keyboard, hit fn again to switch back, and dial 411. When you make the call, the Impression will dial the correct numbers associated with those letters.

Hope this is of use to someone..

Cheers,
dave

No, no one else has mentioned that.  Nice find!  cookie for you!

Just want to mention that when u hit the Fn button in call mode, in the upper right hand corner it will change from Fn to abc, then you can type in any letters, and the phone will convert them for you after you hit the call button.

Again, very nice find!

I've found a good reason for the virtual keyboard in the Opera Mini 5 beta:  If you get annoyed at having to constantly push the fn key when you're texting a combination of letters and numbers, put the virtual keyboard into 123 mode and it stays there.  Then just use the physical keyboard for letters and occasionally tap a virtual number without having to shift the fn key.
