Did you look through my list of touchscreen games on my fullscreen touch games page? The ones that are landscape have landscape in their name. There are quite a few good ones.

Ok, I am not a programmer, it took me over 2 hours just to download the touch screen version of google maps you posted awhile ago. I have no idea what the "goat breaking method" is. So, how is a novice like me supposed to get google maps to work in landscape mode?

Thanks Everyone

Piece of cake. I take it you downloaded from the forum the Google maps with GPS. Before you install it, right click the jad and open with wordpad. It will resemble a text file. At the bottom of the mess add this line EXACTLY. MIDlet-ScreenMode: Landscape. Then save it. Now install the jad and jar with TKFE or follow the other method I have on that thread.

Will it work if I add the line "MIDlet-ScreenMode: ROTATE" like you posted earlier? Would that make it landscape only when the slider is opened?

Thanks

You are 100% correct. See its not that hard.  Wink  Just use rotate instead of landscape.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!  I was so tired of turning my head to type and look at the screen.

Does anyone have the default ATT NAVIGATOR .jad file? i tried to see if i could put it into landscape slide mode with the "rotate" line and now instead of it working like that it went from fullscreen touch to a standard Java App style with the arrows and numbers... i have an unlimited data plan so i hope that means that anyone can help me or atleast help me figure out a way to fix it to its original state...

Nicely done, works perfectly!!
Like to somehow find a way to put the icon/widget on the Home screen instead of having to go to menu/games-apps/Gmail.

Thanks again, Agoattamer.  The code in this thread and others really works wonders on a new phone crippled by silly restrictions.  I love it, and have had no problems getting this stuff to work.  I appreciate what you and others have done.

Ok I know this is an older thread, but I have a question... Wink

I did the full screen fix for the games solitaire and sudoku games.  Also tried the landscape, but they did not like that- says they cannot play in that mode... anyway, when removing the dpad fro these games, I now have a white strip at the bottom of the games.  Is there a way of having it cover the entire screen, or am I stuck with the strip?

Games and apps are different. Most games have a predefined canvas. Example 240x400 and 240x320. They are what they are. You cannot get rid of the white bar or make them landscape if they are not defined that way.
