I used TKE to delete some locked apps I didn't like.  I also went into the exe==>java==>links folder and deleted the shop applications folder.  Now, when I slide open the keyboard, the screen no longer automatically switches to shortcuts such as messages.  I miss that.
Can anyone upload the folder I deleted and it's contents?  I would like to restore it.

Nothing in the Links folder that would cause this. Did you delete this file? It goes in the java folder with the Games, Links, and Locked Games folders.

No.  I left that alone...and it's the same size 2.54kb.

maybe if you delete any of the apps on that menu, the menu doesn't display anymore?  Can anyone say what all the links are on it?

Anyways, what do you mean when you slide open the keyboard the screen switches to shortcuts like messages? All it does is rotate and it depends on what screen  or app you have showing. And I have nothing in my folder too.

no, mine didn't simple rotate the view.  It switched to a shortcut menu, the first of which was messages.
NOW, after my tinkering, it simply rotates the view.  I can't find any pictures of it on the web to show you.  I will post it if I get it back.

I've never heard of the impression doing that by opening the slider.  Are you referring to the quick access menu that displays call, messaging, media net, music player, games, and end all?

When you reinstall the items deleted, let us know if it does it again.

No.  I'm not referring to the quick access menu.  That menu floats on top of whatever screen your on and only fills 25% of the screen.  This was a full screen menu.  Yes, if I ever get it back, I will post a pick of it.

Sliding open the keyboard does not give you any menu or shortcuts. The only thing it does is rotate the screen for some items. Or it takes away the virtual qwerty to allow the use of the physical qwerty.

Software is a877UCID3, I think that's the firmware.    Client Version is V.1.0.0.

Okay, I was hallucinating.  It was NOT my Impression that did it.  It was my ATT Starcom Quickfire that has that shortcut menu.  The Quickfire is from their P.O.S. line.  It has enough processing power to do half a task at a time.  Trying to complete a whole task or (dare you) two tasks causes it to freeze up.
It did have a nice shortcut menu though, LOL.

Modified: Before I realized the problem, I did restore all deleted locked apps and links.  Should we create a backup of all files somewhere here in case someone needs them?

The firmware is already on the forum. Just download it and use winrar or another image application to get the files.
