Turning Off Data Access Nag-Screen For Unsigned Applications

This trick was posted for the Samsung Eternity, but I have gotten it to work with software for the Impression. This will remove that nag-screen that keeps asking for data access, each and every time an Unsigned piece of software wants to access the Internet.
You will basically need TkFileExplorer_2.2.exe

Just confirming that I got this to work. I had some trouble getting TkFileExplorer to connect to my phone at first. I went into the settings and under Connectivity, Select USB Mode, selected Samsung PC Studio, restarted my phone and computer, and now it connects flawlessly. Not sure if it matters, but I set the TkFileExplorer Baud Rate to 115600. Thanks for the link.

Did you have to load the Samsung PC Studio first? What are the drivers that you used. I have been trying to get my impression to connect for a bit now.

No, you don't have to load Samsung PC Studio first. I used a file named
SAMSUNG_Composite_USB_Driver_4_34_WHQL.zip
for the drivers. I've added the driver as an attachment. As stated. After you install TKFile and the drivers restart your computer and the cell phone. I contect after the restarts.

I personally did install the Samsung PC Studio first. I'd assume that you only need the drivers that are linked from the CD that came with the phone. But the PC studio comes with the drivers anyway.
You could just install Samsung PC Studio and see if you can get the phone to connect to it. That way, you can start ruling things out as to why it's not connecting.

I tried installing the Samsung PC Studio first, but that did not work, as I could not even get my phone to connect to PC Studios.
I am going to try to install the drivers that are linked in this post, and see if that will work.

I have 2 questions. Like many others I cannot get my phone to connect to TKFileExplorer. I have searched this site and the eternity site.
Do I have to install the version of new PC studios for the impression or the version 3 as they say in the eternity page? I cannot get my phone to connect to pc studio 3. I can get it to connect to the new pc studio.
Or do I have to install PC studios at all and just try the SAMSUNG_Composite_USB_Driver_4_34_WHQL.zip by itself?
I have uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing helps.

Let me say I got it to connect now. I had vcast for verizon on my computer too. Along with LG modem drivers. Maybe they were conflicting. I uninstalled that crap and also set my phone to connect to PC-studio by usb. Works everytime now.

I have tkfile explorer but when I connect my impression all I see are the file folders - music, games and apps, videos, etc. but I do not see other internal folders such as java in order to make the changes. Any suggestions would be appreciated...thanks

Congradulations ongetting it to work. You need to click on the exe folder then java and then games. Its just like the windows explorer on your computer.

Try that link. The other method was quite old and not used anymore.
