was looking at the price for using amaze its not "expensive" but if you get the year package you are saving yourself $2.13 per month compared to att navigator
just noticed that you can still get amaze for "free" but if you want turn by turn navigation you have to pay for it and also telling you where those wretched speed traps and red light cameras are at plus they are coming out with traffic updates for it which my car gps has but it has advertising on it

What do you mean its only $2.13 cheaper a month with a years package? Its $7.16 cheaper a month.  Navigator is 9.99 a month. Unless you have the data/nav combo.  But then you are paying full price for texting.  1 year of navigator is $120. 1 year of amaze is 33.99. You do the math.

What I did was buy a garmin navigation system. I got mine at best buy for under $100 and don't have to worry about the monthly or the yearly payments.

I have a Garmin too, but if you want to update the Maps every year it's $70/year.  I try and update every other year.

Is it that much now? Although I will defend Amaze as being worth that $33 a year I dont find it that updated for my area. Streets may be ok but POI's are either off or from at least 2 years ago. They need to work on that. And serches are not that simple. Typing in gas or food will not bring you the results you desire.

Both serve a purpose.

oh i thought it was $5 per month b/c thats what i was looking at when originnally getting the impression.

and i have the magellan gps RoadMate which gives you traffic updates and POI but right now it is new enough that i dont have to buy new maps for it
