Mobile

I own an Eternity so I'm here as a software developer only. The Impression and Eternity have obvious similarities and games/apps work the same on both.

Now what?
Games

   eShock-Recharge

   eShock

   Pup Up

   Bubble Wrap

   Balloon Poppin'

   eFly

   eFly-Smashed

Apps

   Bantam Paint+

   WWPointsulator

Please follow the respective links for more information about each game or app and the address to point your phone's browser to for an OTA download. I will provide the JAR files here as well though.

Comments on my games and apps can be made here or on there respective threads. You can either PM me or make requests here for new games and apps also.

Bantam Paint+ Special Edition v1.2

Bantam Paint+ Special Edition is a reworking of the generic version of Bantam Paint+ in that in can access your phone's file system to save and open paintings. It also includes a feature not available in the generic version: the option to open a picture as a layer (clip art).

Features:
    * *NEW* Save to phone or memory card
    * *NEW* Open picture as a layer to use as clip art
    * Hideaway toolboxes.
    * Eraser (using the appropriate brush and color is a lot more precise than this)
    * Easy to use interface.
    * Full screen (240x400)
    * Full touch screen support
    * Haptic feedback
    * Tools: pencil, brush, line, ellipse/circle, rectangle/square, rounded rectangle/square, shape fill, undo/redo, clear
    * Custom color palette is saved
    * Help file

Bantam Paint+ Special Edition Mobile Page: http://m.bantambytes.com/paintse.php
OTA download link: http://m.bantambytes.com/midlets/apps/bpplusse.jad

The third picture is an example of the use of clip art. I did that painting on my phone.

Installation instructions:
    * If you do an OTA install you will have to goatbreak ("Att Branding") it.
    * If you do a TKFileExplorer install with the provided jar then you are done.

Update 9-18-2009 - The phone's back button can now be used to undo. Thanks for the suggestion bulldogn7. This is just a small update. I have other plans but this was easy to do and I should have done it sooner.

PNGEncoder provided by Mobile Biorhythm

Thank you beta testers:
    Agoattamer
    Hobosrock

Please feel free to suggest new features and report any bugs or other undesired behavior.

The jar and jad file is attached below for a TKFE install.

Thanks Agoattamer. I look forward to some hopefully fresh ideas and feedback from you guys. The copy and paste from the Eternity forum was quite strenuous on my finger, mouse, and computer but I did it...finally. lol. Now to eat this salad I have been staring at for the last five minutes.

Balloon Poppin' as of right now is a dead project. It was an experiment. Visually it turned out real nice but I never had a goal with it. I thought it would come to me as I was making it but it never did. I originally had a pop sound in it also. Every time it popped the game would freeze for a split second. It was enough to make it irritating. It does that in the eFly game too but not as much. I may have found a fix.

My bubbles pop easy. Maybe your phone has a virus. Shocked JK. They don't pop instantly. You have to press into it a little. Real bubble wrap doesn't pop just by touching it. I keep wanting to make a Bubble Wrap 2. Bubble Wrap is my most popular download. It's currently at 2371 downloads and that doesn't include those that downloaded and installed with the jar file.

Thanks for the thoughts. I like to know that there is still interest in what I'm doing.

Cool...it's posts like this that keep me interested in making more games/apps. Thanks and your welcome.

MIDlet - the MID means Mobile Interface Information Device and the 'let' comes from applet. It is a combination of the two - MIDlet. I didn't make it up. That is the actual technical term for java games/apps that run on a mobile device.

Factory - well a factory is where things are made

MIDlet Factory is where I make games/apps...wait I make them on my computer then put them on my website? Okay, I was originally going to release games/apps in their various stages to get feedback but I decided against it. It would kind of been like a factory. I thought about changing the name but what the hay.

Have you tried eFly-Smashed? http://www.samsung-impression.org/games/efly-smashed-java-game-by-bantam-bytes-mobile/
