Excellent tutorial, thanks so much! works like a charm and eliminates so many problems from my previous version of Google Maps on my Samsung Impact.

Absolutely great. Works like a charm. Thanks a million.
I looked it over several times. I, also, never realized that I couldn't see the missing files because I wasn't logged in. Eventually, I tried to access a thread and was blocked because I wasn't logged in. I made an account and it was like a light switch was flipped. The referenced attachments were there and everything made sense.
Great site. Thanks again.

Installed the latest Gmaps version and it works great. I can't get street view to work, but I don't know if it's supposed to work anyways. It's still slow, but I think that's a limitation of the phone or AT&T internet speeds. I can't tell the difference between this version and the last version though.

So, was Street View removed from the latest version, in lieu of Latitude's addition, or is this an individual user problem?
I'd like to finally upgrade Google Maps, but I really like Streetview.
Thanks,
Keep Smiling

If Streetview isn't available in the latest version, Can I rename the new version and have both version on the Impression?
Thanks,

Streetview is still working in this version, better than ever. I was using it just this weekend.

How do you get to street view? I tried zooming in, but it stops zomming at some point. I don't really care about latitude since none of my friends have phones that could run it. Plus, I don't like having Gmaps always running anyways.

Zoom in on where you want to look, then double-tap the screen. A menu box will come up. Then select Street View (if it's available, of course).

Thanks in advance for two quick questions:
Will the new Google maps posted here also work w/the Eternity?
And can I have two different versions of Google maps (w/different names) on the Impression?

Never mind the question about Google maps for Eternity. I found it on their forum.
Thanks, Goat.
