Ok, apparently my brain has quit working, Geocaching Live seems to be a nice app. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to set a cache as the one I am trying to go to. I can see them and highlight them on the map, but how do select one to go to? If I highlight one on the map and then switch to compass it is not showing distance to get there and the normal stuff you would see on a gps. any help would be awesome. thanks.

Once you highlight the cache on the map, tap "OK" for the list at the bottom of the screen to show, then tap "ok" on the cache you want. It will then download the last few cache logs and the description. Then tap "menu" then "set target".

To log it found, do the same as above, instead of "set target", tap "mark", Then your selection.
I haven't figured out how to log the caches online with it yet. Although you can press "www" then it will take you to the online cache page where you can log it there.

I just installed Geocaching live from: http://live.geocaching.com/dl/

It's not touchscreen (d-pad only) and does not detect my GPS. Is there something I have to do to make it work?

If anyone else is still paying attn to this thread I'd love some feedback. I have a separate GPS for geocaching, but sometimes I have free time in a new place with no access to it, and I would love to be able to use my Impression to geocache in those moments.

From what I heard that app should work. Did you goatbreak the install or install it with TKFE?

I just installed directly from the site. I realized after the fact that I probably had to goatbreak it, though something had given me the impression that the touchscreen would at least work without doing so. Apologies for misreading my homework.

It sounds like most of these apps use the data plan to get map data (unless I'm misreading that).  Is there anything with a simple go-to interface that can tell me the coordinates for where I am and the direction/distance to where I want to be?  Maps would be nice of course, but not needed. I use a fully mapped 60Cx for regular geocaching but there has been a time or two the batteries died when I was 3 miles from the trailhead and having my phone be able to get me that last few hundred feet would have been nice.

locify does ok you can use google maps with it or yahoo, msn or other maps.  So far its the only one ive been able to use. never got the live.geocaching.com one workin with internal gps. locify will have to do goatbreakin on it. Ive tried the log my find from locify but didnt seem to show on geocaching.com site so still had to log there too.

I finally got this goatbroken, but the only problem is... no caches are showing up. has anyone else experienced this problem? It only says "please wait... Press okay to cancel"

Any other geocaching app suggestions?

I have been having the exact same problem with the "press ok to cancel" message.  Has anyone else found a fix for this.  Any help would be appreciated
