Does anyone have a version of Google Maps that is touch screen and without the D Pad on the bottom of the screen? I can't seem to find one for the Impression. Thanks!

Im not sure google maps would work very well if someone converted it to touch screen. Too many shortcuts requring the numbered keys.

If you want a full version gps type program try amaze gps. Google maps will not work with a gps. amaze will only work with a bluetooth gps if you download the pixon version. But amaze has plenty of funstuallity without a gps.  I just today converted mine to full screen touch. Has voice and works well with my bluetooth gps. Im my opinion it is better than ATT Navigator.

I actually just use the yellowpages app, and use it like a GPS, because it will find my exact location within like around a foot.

I used to have the Eternity and the Google Maps I found at the time for that phone was fullscreen and touch, it was great. At the moment I use Yellowpages but my only gripe about that is they don't have exit numbers for highways on their maps. I find that very helpful Smiley

Thanks for the replies. Guess I'll just wait around for it to magically appear!

I wonder what version of google maps you had. The new version is 2.3.2. The last version 2.3.1 didnt even have my location services. It was just a map.  Here in the last 2 weeks my google maps wont even find my position with the cell towers. Dont know if its my area, or google, or ATT blocking something.

It was version 2.3.2. I think I might have downloaded it from google's own app site for samsung phones. I tried going there again but haven't had any luck.

I have seen that google maps is touch screen on some sammy phones but not ours for some reason.
