Well Youtube has brought out a standalone app and it's pretty shiny too. It's not touchscreen and the videos are not in our native player but I like it and it's faster than the browser if you ask me. It's actually the n60 version but works on our phone.
Step 1: Download the attached files and transfer them over using TKFE just name the folder you put them in Youtube because these files were actually inside of the original .jar DO NOT rename the .jar or the .jad you will only mess things up.
Step 2: Disconnect phone and update the java database and the app database in the internals menu.
Instructions on using TKFE and updating the databases are here in this post.
http://www.samsung-impression.org/index.php?topic=906.0You're Done.
You can also use imserba to transfer the .jar, then in TKFE delete the .jad file and replace it with the one below. I didn't use imserba so if there are issues with that method post them here I'm sure it's just a naming problem Also don't forget to goatbreak it if you use OTA install.
To goatbreak just go into the folder where the app downloaded to using TKFE and delete the manifest file and the appdb folder.
I am in a hurry so I will edit this post with links to more detailed instructions on updating the databases and what not.
edit: If you get an error the first time just try another video, that one should load, and then you'll be ok to go back to the video you want to see and all videos should play, I got an initial error but all is ok now.
