Why are you transferring the manifest file? Its jar and jad when using TKFE or just transferring the original jad when using rumkin and deleting the manifest and appdb folder.

You guys rock! I have been sweating bullits for about an hour trying to get tkfe to recognize my phone. I did a little more research and felt a little stupid. Connect seems like it is so self explanatory. Anyway. I slowly followed the instructions, from downloading the files to my desktop, to using rumkin on my phone, to connecting to tkfe and deleting the files. I got stuck on how to add the jad from my desktop and then I found the answer in another link. I use the tkfe to find my desktop and add the file from there. Now I have a new application that I aint gotta pay for. Tethering! Applications! Im never giving up my phone.

I'm new to this phone and service. I know the app uses data, but if you call the musicid contact and use it where they text you the song title back, does that cost anything because I have'nt seen anywhere that has said that it would.

Agoattamer ... I've been using this forum for a while now and used TKFE and the Master Key method to install alot of cool games and apps.  Followed your instructions step by step and never had any problems!!  If I could bake these "cookies" myself I'd give you a dozen!! ... Anyways, my first question -- Using this hacked version of Music ID, is there any way AT&T could trace it's usage back to my account?

Thanks for all you do!

I am sure ATT could do alot of things. Music ID is free on other carrier phones and has even been hacked for winmo phones. I wouldnt worry as you are a needle in a huge hay pile. Also it doesnt go through ATT. It goes through Shazam's servers.

If you install the jar and jad using the micro card method, do we still have to delete the appdb folder and the manifest.mf? Don't know if I would ever do this, as I downloaded Shazam from your apps thread!! Again, just waiting to have a data plan to begin using these great mods and apps!

Using blueftp to install apps will grant all the permissions just like installing with TKFE or goatbreaking. Just install with blueftp and rename and you are done. Full permissions.

so I moved the preinstalled MusicID folder to my desktop, downloaded the JAD and JAR files from page 1 into a newly created MusicID folder on desktop, transferred to my SDCard, and did the blueFTP method for installing (I LOVE that find, by the way!!).  Just wanted to compare this program to the Shazam app I installed a few weeks ago to see which I liked better.  Well, ran both and they are the same program...MusicID even said "shazam" on the botton of it as it ID'd the songs!

music ID seems to be failing me lately.  I tried it on several popular tunes this week (christmas ones) and it is always coming up as unknown or unable to id song.  Anyone else finding this to be true? Up until recently, it has worked fine...
