Noteable

Just a simple notepad that can save to the phone's file system! Make a note and save it as a plain text file. Features:

    * Full screen (240x400)
    * Full touch screen support
    * Haptic feedback
    * 3D cube transitions

Known issues:

    * Due to the maximum character limit while inputing text, large files will cause the app to crash. To fix this I have disabled the editing of large files but they can be viewed.

Noteable Mobile Page: http://m.bantambytes.com/noteable.php
OTA link: m.bantambytes.com/midlets/apps/noteable.jad

Installation instructions:
    * If you do an OTA install you will have to Goatbreak it.
    * If you do an install like this with the provided jar then you are done.

Please report bugs and suggestions for improvement.

Thank you.

You go to that link on your phone and it installs the jar file using the jad. If you just want the jar then get it from here.

Agoattamer said something about the text being small too. I must not be seeing what Impression owners are seeing. On my phone it is the exact same default size as a text message. Is yours smaller than that? I should have listened Agoattamer when he brought it up. I'll see what I can do. I think it's a lot easier to do than I originally thought.

I'll also look into the scrolling with the keyboard buttons. I was pretty sure the default implementation of LWUIT (interface toolkit I'm using) automatically detected keyboard and touch. Undecided

ill try and get a picture of what im seeing but its kind of hard to take a pciture of the screen of your phone but if i had to say what the size of text was but when it was zoomed out fully you could hardly tell that the text was there to read the text you had to zoom in about 2 bars.

i can kind of tell that there is a transition between the screens but it is really fast just wondering if there is a way to slow it down but it doesnt really matter that much since it is only a transition

I like the program makes it easier to take notes and be able to transfer them from the phone to the computer and back again

Update 9-21-2009 - Small, medium, and large font choice setting now available.

Update 9-23-2009 - The jad file has been modified so that you can use Noteable in landscape mode when you slide out your keyboard. You can either download Noteable again or use TKFE to add MIDlet-ScreenMode: Rotate to the existing jad file.

Actually that is already in the existing jad file. There is the extra landscape code which does nothing because of its format. Sorry if I confused you Bantam. It is well enough to leave alone at this time till you make any other changes if you do.

Update 9-24-2009 - Fixed a bug found when you change the font size. Unless I created a bug when I was tinkering with it, I found that when you change the font size the text didn't reformat correctly.

Final version has been released.

As in the small, medium, and large font setting doesn't work? Nobody else has said that. It works on mine.

The changes are small but they are different. Look closely.
