Hey I think i found a gem! While I was browsering the web last night I just so happen to see what was happening with apps from AT&T. (Even though I would never pay for an app) and a found a great FREE application called AT&T Social Net. I downloaded thinking that it would suck like every other at&t app especialy since it was free. I thought for sure there was going to be no touch support and it was going to have the touch buttons at the bottom. but boy was I wrong. it is prob the best implimentation of touch i have seen on our device. (you can hold down and scroll at the top to select. but anyway long story short it's a well designed full screen touch app that is free (data charges apply LOL) and well i should have had you at free.

P.S. I luv cookies! Grin

Oh yeah almost forgot it ROTATES to landscap when you slid the keybord out (sorry not accelo)

no it's on the normal media net site.

how about some instructions
1. open built in browser
2. if not already got to http://device.home/
3. go down to Tones, Games, Apps (click)
4. go to Cool Tools/Apps (click)
5. Look under Featured Picks and click "--AT&T Social Net: FREE Facebook = Twitter = Myspace
6. Click purchase options and buy it for $0.00
7. Begin download accept blah blah you know the rest

That app seems pretty neat, but I've been running it for a couple of weeks and it's very slow to update.  In fact sometimes, it won't update at all and my Facebook & Twitter messages are from weeks ago.  Nice try, but no cigar.

But can you remove all that foreign stuff? Seems snaptu is made for someone in the UK.

Are you in a 3G area because im in a 3G+ area and it seems to update almost instant. Then again one time i was in a full bar 3G area and couldn't load any webpages. i guess results may vary.

I thought they did have Ebuddy for our phone.  Try the version for the samsung s8300.  I just tried it on my phone and it seems to be working fine. But before running it I would apply the full screen hack to the jad and goatbreak it. You should be good to go from there.

MIDlet-ScreenMode: ROTATE                   This will cause your app to go landscape when you open the keyboard.

MIDlet-ScreenMode: Landscape                This will make your app landscape mode all of the time

Read everything in those 3 links  and you should have ebuddy awesomeness...

Just quoting captain awesome himself.. Agoattamer

I've been running this app for awhile now, but only use it for facebook.  Overall I think it is a great touchscreen app for our phone.  I really like being able to flick my way through my facebook stream and access all my notifications.  I also like that its just a "surface level" app into facebook and I don't have to load up the entire system just to update my status and kill time reading friends new info.  Downside to this application has already been mentioned in the long load time for your feed stream.  I'm not sure why, but my status updates from weeks ago load first and then the app slowly brings me up to today with my feed.  Sometimes it doesn't get to today, or when I upload a new status it logs me off or decides not to acknowledge that I uploaded something new.  This happens probably 25% of the time I use this app.  That being said, overall I'd give this app a B+.
